. Go to the Mailings tab. Select Labels in the Create section. The Envelopes and Labels dialog box will open with the Labels tab selected. Select Options to open Label Options. Choose the label brand in the Label Vendors or Label Products list, then select the product number matching the labels you want to print on.
Type the address you want on the single label or all the labels on the page. Customize the formatting of the address if you’d like. Select the text; on Windows, right-click; on Mac, control-click.
Creating labels. In your Word 2016, click on the Labels in the Mailing ribbon option. Enter the Label address and check on the Print options either Full page of same label or Single label. Click on the Options, in the Printer information check on Continuous feed printers or page printers. Use the label information accordingly to your preference.
Choose Font or Paragraph to access formatting options. Select OK after making any changes. Select Full Page of the Same Label in the Print section to print a page full of the same address labels. Select Single Label in the Print section if you only want to print one label.
Choose the row and column corresponding with where you want the address printed on the sheet of labels. Note: This option is helpful if you have a partially-used sheet of printer labels. Make sure your label sheet is waiting in the printer and select Print. Go to the Mailings tab. Select Labels in the Create section. The Envelopes and Labels dialog box will open with the Labels tab selected.
Select Options to open Label Options. Choose the label brand in the Label Vendors or Label Products list, then select the product number matching the labels you want to print on. Select New Document. Word creates a new document displaying a page of blank labels matching the dimensions of the brand and label size you selected. Go to the Layout tab under Table Tools and choose View Gridlines if the outlines of the labels do not appear.
Type the information you want into each label. Go to the File tab, select Print, then select the Print button when you're ready to print the labels. Go to the Mailings tab. Select Labels in the Create section. The Envelopes and Labels dialog box will open with the Labels tab selected.

Select Options to open Label Options. Select New Label. The Label Details dialog box will open. Enter a name for the labels.

Change all the measurements to match the exact dimensions of the labels you need. An example of the label will appear in the Preview box. Select OK to create the custom labels. You can then use them for making labels in Word.
